We are currently representing a role as a Process Engineer for our client who are a leading Global plastic design and engineering company

Responsibilities will include:
• Handle trials of existing ad new tools to define and improve quality.
• Work with the NPI teams on tool specifications.
• Trial new materials to define setting sheets to achieve yield while maintaining quality specifications.
• Liaise with operational staff to understand tooling related issues.
• Install tools into presses when required.
• Deal with breakdowns in a flexible manner.
• Comply with all company rules, regulations and procedures at all times.
• Carry out all requests from management/supervisory team.

To be successful in this role, the candidate would preferably:
• Qualified to NVQ or equivalent is essential
• Proven experience in a technical environment is essential.
• At least 5 years’ experience in trialling/setting high speed plastic moulding machines.
• Have knowledge of plastics processing and machine settings
• Have the ability to compile setting and fault-finding instructions.
• Confident in looking for continuous improvement in all areas of work and challenge existing practices.
• The ability to work on your own imitative as well as in a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Hold a crane licence (desirable)
• Knowledge of H&S requirements.
• Have experience of Moldflow technology (desirable)
