Smiths Detection in Hemel Hempstead is looking to hire a Project Coordinator to support the Programme Team across the UK Market during all phases of the Program according to the Program Lifecycle Management Process.
As part of this role you will be tracking and monitoring all project documentation and highlighting issues to the Programme Management team and build an effective network of relationships with internal and external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain a proper and user friendly filing and document control system for recording and tracking of all documents for the project team and department;
• Take minutes of meeting and maintain records for the operations and project team;
• Prepare Project baseline schedules taking input from the PM in compliance with organization and project missions and goals;
• Update the schedule as per the project progress and thereby track the key milestones, assess the project's status and highlight to PMs the areas slipping away from the plan;
• Support in collating of documentation;
• Provide the support and handle the responsibilities of the other members of the PM team in his/her absence;
• Support program department follow-up and reporting : Schedules, KPI update, Program;
• Management Reviews organization, Program weekly follow-up;
• Archive the lessons learned to improve products and performance of business;
• Develop own skills to increase personal impact;
• Report to senior management and escalate issues to improve learning culture.

Required Skills and Experiences:
• Degree or Diploma qualified;
• Proficient in Project Management software (MS Project) and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
• Experience in using SAP software;
• Experience in Primavera P6 Planning Tool;
• Experience in administrative or program or project engineering management roles;
• Strong experience of document control systems;
• A proven record of successful planning, tracking and activity management;
• Commercial and financial exposure;
• Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities;
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills;
• Excellent communication skills – verbally and in writing;
• Proactive, take initiative and well organized;
• Calm under pressure;
• Rigorous and accurate with attention to detail;
• The ability and motivation to persistently pursue and achieve effective results which drive the business forward.
