3D Recruit are working in partnership with a ‘Good’ School based in the north of Kent who are looking for a PE Teacher to join them from after the Easter break. They are initially looking for the successful PE Teacher to join them on a part time basis although there is the potential for this role to become full time.

About the School:
Education is at the heart of this school and they have successfully more than doubled the amount of their students who are achieving A* - C GCSE results including in Maths and English. They boast state of the art facilities and a very talented and committed team of teaching staff who are supported by an SLT with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Each and every student in the school is treated as an individual and are encouraged and supported to learn in their own way whilst still following the values of the school. Standards are high within this school including behaviour, dress and a calm environment which allows everyone to achieve.

About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate PE Teacher who is committed to raising the standard of Physical Education and promoting a healthy lifestyle to the young people under their education. You will be responsible for teaching PE to KS3 and KS4 students. This role is part time although there is potential for an increased timetable if the successful Teacher is happy covering an additional subject. Experience teaching Humanities as well as PE is hugely desirable.

About the Curriculum:
At KS3, students are taught a wide range of sports and activities from Football to OAA to create a well balanced curriculum. The purpose of the curriculum is to enable students to gain the knowledge required to study for examination in the subject at KS4 and also to help them explore activities and sporting interests outside of school.

Students at KS4 have the opportunity to study BTEC Sport or GCSE PE, this is a great chance for students to consolidate and build knowledge that they have gained at KS3 and to help them prepare for further study in the subject at KS5. All students will receive a minimum of 2 practical core PE lessons per week. During these lessons they will be able to choose from a varied range of activities to take part in as part of them leading an active and healthy lifestyle.

Key Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in a relevant subject
• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• QTS – this is not essential but highly desirable
• Satisfactory References
• The right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS check – 3D Recruit can arrange this if needs be
