As a Senior Digital Software Engineer (Android), you'll be part of an extremely collaborative, solutions focussed team, who together provide expert design and development. Working towards both business and customer needs, you'll maximise EE's business potential by developing systems that result in elevated sales and efficient service for our valued customers. You'll be at the heart of each project from beginning to end; ensuring that the testing, quality checking and delivery processes all fall within the agreed time-scales and to EE standards. What you'll do: * Provide hands on Native Application design and development leadership within your team * Support on the completion of projects through ownership of tasks within individual project plans* Deliver and implement in-house and external solutions throughout each project lifecycle* Conduct thorough quality checks and tests prior to publication* Develop prototypes to demonstrate concepts * Understand customer requirements and align these with our overall objectives of Digital. You'll definitely: * Have strong experience in technologies related to Android development including Kotlin and Java* Have software design and development experience integrated with web services (RESTful Services advantageous)* Have 3-5 years of commercial knowledge and experience in the development of Android native applications * Have knowledge of Agile software development and supporting best practices such as TDD and Pair programming * Contribute to ongoing process improvement activities in the team. You might even: * Have experience of one or more of the following: rxJava, Dagger, MVP/MVVM or similar UI design patterns, Espresso, Junit/Mockito* Have experience working within a true 'DevOps' environment* Be able to use Jenkins and tools such a JIRA, Confluence and Git.
