An Apprentice Service Desk Dispatcher / L1 Engineer is required to joina progressive, successful and growing Technology Services company. Theymake it their business to provide an outstanding, innovative servicewhere customer service, integrity and respect are their key values. Thecompany delivers a variety of outsourced, managed and project servicesacross a wide range of clients in the SMB/SME marketplace as well assome public sector and third sector organisations. They are looking for highly motivated individual to join them on apermanent basis. The successful candidate will be based at our officesin Edinburgh with some travel to client sites required from time totime. The role requires a flexible attitude to working hours andmobility. The company is Employee Owned and as such you will reap therewards of the commitment and contribution you will bring to the team. You must be well presented, able to communicate effectively (bothface-to-face, over the phone and in written English), have sound timemanagement skills, be a committed and flexible team player and relishsuccess. You should be able to build rapport with clients andcolleagues. Even though you will have a genuine love of technology, theability to convey technical work in "plain English" ratherthan geek-speak is essential. You should have an analytical mind, an ability to troubleshooteffectively and a willingness to escalate or consult with others,recognising when a problem needs to be escalated or addressed from adifferent angle. Candidate Requirements: Essential - Proactive\Flexible Attitude - Ability to prioritise work - Good telephone manner - Good timekeeping - Passion and willingness to learn and grow - Passion for IT - Driven to provide high levels of customer service - Work in a team and communicate effectively to all levels. Desirable - Experience in a Service Desk environment - Basic IT qualifications or training i.e. HNC\HND, CompTIA, SQA Higher Basic knowledge of the following technologies would also be an advantage: - Windows Server - Active Directory - Exchange - Network infrastructure, topology and best practices - Basic Firewall and router configuration - Office365 Microsoft certifications are highly desirable and a willingness to keepthem current and gain further, relevant certifications is essential. You should have your own vehicleand full UK driving licence.
