Accounts Payable Clerk - Burton-on-Trent - temporary role paying up to £10 per hour - IMMEDIATE START

Our Client

We are working with a large, dynamic organisation based in Burton. Rapidly growing, we are now seeking an additional Accounts Payable Clerk for join their finance team on a temporary basis.

The Role

This is a great opportunity to join a business that is experiencing high levels of commercial activity. It will be a busy and challenging role for a candidate looking to extend their AP knowledge.

Specifically, the role will involve the following tasks:

  • Processing purchase orders and GRNIs
  • Resolution of supplier queries
  • Posting to correct codes
  • Verification of invoices and credit notes
  • Document scanning and preparation
  • Assisting with the preparation of information for multiple payment runs
  • Ad hoc admin and sales support tasks

The successful individual will be a valued member this inclusive and vibrant finance function.

The Person

The successful person will ideally have a background in high-volume invoice processing, with a positive and enthusiastic personality, and a strong willingness to offer help and support to a busy team of people. This role will suit someone with solid experience across all areas of accounts payable, who is used to working in a busy office environment. They must have a strong knowledge of Word & Excel, plus the ability to handle strict deadlines and a high level of detail.
