Due to increasing business demands and internal promotion, our prestigious and well established client, a leading Financial Advisory, Asset Management firm is seeking a Trainee Paraplanner to join their team.

The successful individual will be part of the Financial Planning team based in Harrogate supporting the advisers and, once trained, will be responsible for delivering high quality reports.

To be successful in this Trainee Paraplanning role, you will have experience within the financial services sector, strong technical knowledge, and the relevant experience
• You will have excellent written communication skills with the ability to conduct research in connection with investment, retirement and pension planning
• You should have experience in supporting advisers with a range of tasks, including correspondence with product providers and clients, as well as providing support to other members of the team
• You will also be a good communicator and have a working knowledge of the financial services industry across the full range of investments, pensions, retirement solutions and protection business
• You will be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office

DUTIES INCLUDE

Assist with the provision of fully compliant, potentially complex reports which will include analysis, detailed research of funds and providers and product recommendations for presentation to clients.

Assist with research for Asset Allocation on clients existing portfolios, quantifying and analysing clients existing investments.

Assist with obtaining valuations, quotations and supporting application documentation.

Provide all advice within a strict ethical and compliance framework under guidance from the Compliance Manager and internal policy and procedures.

Manage own workload position and provide updates to line manager.

Commit to continuous personal development and retain supporting records.

To carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required.

You will either be an Investment Administrator with 1-3 years experience wishing to progress into Paraplanning or, a Senior Investment Administrator looking to move into a Paraplanning role within a progressive and forward thinking company.

Ideally you will have some experience within Financial Services and be working towards a Diploma in Financial Planning, perhaps with a couple of exams under your belt already (RO1, RO2, RO3, RO4, RO5, RO6).
