Process 4 Ogilvy’s payrolls in a timely and accurate manner. Monthly payroll responsible to create and maintains employees' circa 1,500 payroll records. Calculations wages and applicable deductions based on employee attendance. Enters payroll information into central system for processing. Issues employees' checks and earnings summaries. Completes payroll reports.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure the efficient and effective administration of the payroll function across the various PAYE entities, to ensure all employees are paid correctly and on time
  • Manage and administer the Year End process including all HMRC submissions, P11D’s, P14, RTI, etc
  • Sound understanding of all HMRC and payroll process when dealing with all Statutory leave types such as Maternity, Paternity, Adoption, etc
  • Manage Directors Emoluments both UK and some EAME and UK tax implications for our mobile employee base
  • Ensuring the Payroll Department and relevant administrations are compliant with Sarbanes Oxley and all HMRC legislation and best practice. This will include ensuring we are audit ready and compliant and therefore liaison with internal auditors, PWC, Deloitte and other interested parties such as WPP
  • Manage some benefits reconciliation such as BUPA, Season Ticket Loans, pensions, etc
  • Pension administration
  • Always looking for ways to enhance the process to be more streamlined

Essential Requirements

  • Significant experience of managing a complex payroll and particular experience of managing, and being completely responsible for, the HMRC Year End Process
  • Strong UK tax knowledge and some understanding of key international tax systems
  • Experience of managing a team and able to build productive relationships quickly
  • Ability to work calmly and productively within tight deadlines
  • Experience of a fast paced environment
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Experience of more than one payroll system, one of them being ADP Freedom
  • IT and data management skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills, working flexibly and prioritising workload in order to meet deadlines
  • Intermediate MS applications
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, resourceful and able to apply initiative to work independently as well as contribute to the effectiveness of a larger function
