The Job

Financial Controller initially for a 6 month period with a view to becoming permanent

This role will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Finance Department, helping provide a solid foundation for understanding the financial performance of the business in a timely and compliant manner. Supporting the Finance Director with key areas including budgets, forecasts and strategic activity.


  • Monitor the day to day financial operation within the company, such as payroll, invoicing and other transactions
  • Prepare insightful Management Accounts, KPI's and other MI in a timely and efficient manner
  • Oversee the finance team
  • Minimise overdue debts and late payments of suppliers
  • Prepare, submit and respond to queries for HMRC submissions, auditing, banking, and other financial needs as necessary
  • Full reconciliation of all balance sheet and control accounts
  • Cash management and cash forecasting
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long term and short term decision making
  • Enhance and develop Finance processes and systems to optimise usage
  • System development, and implementation when required

Experience/Qualifications Required

  • Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience in a Finance role with similar duties and responsibilities
  • Team Management experience
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
