Change Manager / Project Manager & PMO Lead - Insurance - London

Hanami International are recruiting for a leading global insurance/reinsurance firm, supporting the growth of their EMEA head office in London.

This well renowned and prestigious insurer is going through a period of immense change, so as such, you will be taking the lead on a number of high profile and visible programmes running across both the UK office, as well as the Americas and Asia.

Reporting into two heads of change, one in the UK and one in the Caribbean, you’ll be at the forefront of vital projects, giving you unparalleled exposure into an insurance business, with high visibility to senior stakeholders across the globe.

This role will be a real 'CVbuilder’, as after two years in this role we would expect you to have both a very strong internal network for promotion opportunities, as well as industry knowledge that you could take on to future opportunities externally. This is a role with real opportunity for personal and professional growth, coupled with the opportunity to learn from two heads of department who have excellent reputations in this space.

This position would ideally suit someone from a management consulting firm, or maybe a large insurer where projects are narrower, and you want to gain wider commercial experience. As a permanent role, we are not looking to speak to professional contractors in the PM space.

You’ll be expected to:

  • You’ll have strong knowledge of project governance and controls
  • You will understand a range of project management methods - including traditional and agile methods
  • Experience of building and running the PMO function for an organization or large programme
  • Experience built up as a Project Manager, PMO Manager, Consultant or similar position in either a management consultancy or financial services company
  • Exceptional relationship management skills and experience in managing a range of complex stakeholders
  • Communication, facilitation and influencing skills
  • Demonstrate commercial acumen and experience in developing and reviewing project business cases
  • Hold an EU Passport or full UK working rights
