Through growth they are looking to recruit a Bid Writer to join their team
The main aspects of the job are -
To work closely with the Bid Manager ensuring that timely and high quality written tender responses are submitted in line with selected opportunities
To take responsibility for reviewing tender alert sites and identifying and logging opportunities, for review by the Bid Manager and Managing Director
Key Responsibilities - Role
Sourcing opportunities from portals, completing RFI’s / PQQ’s and writing high quality and timely tender responses as directed by the Bid Manager
Develop and maintain solid business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, working proactively with the business to gather information to produce written tender responses
Work closely with and coordinate input from the relevant Consultant (Bid Lead) for solutions development and innovation
Attend the launch and mid-bid review meetings as required, ensuring a common and thorough understanding at all times. Participate in wash up reviews for all proposals submitted
Undertake thorough research on potential clients to enable shaping of bespoke tender responses and contribute to developing strategies and unique selling points for individual bids through developing an understanding of each client’s requirements
Review and proof reading of tender responses to ensure it meets the client’s stated objectives. Ensure compliance with tender submission instructions and deadlines, as well as internal processes and procedures
Manage post tender clarifications in line with stated timescales
Contribute to the bid library, proactively ensuring all information is up to date and ensuring sector specific bid material is available
Essential Core Skills and Experience
Bid writing and tender management experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate equally well verbally and in writing, with people at all levels
Highly IT proficient experience using Word and Excel on a day-to-day basis, with a proven ability to produce part or full tender submissions
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
Participate in project meeting discussions, with the ability to positively contribute to meetings
To ensure all relevant company processes and procedures are followed in the provision of a comprehensive service to all internal and external customers
To know and actively support company policies for Equality and Diversity, Environment and Data Protection
The role requires:
Proven ability to plan, organise, manage and prioritise a range of tasks under pressure - own and others
Excellent time management skills, with flexibility to meet time deadlines on a range of projects

The ability to work well autonomously and with both individuals and teams.
