Our Witney based client are currently on the lookout for a Technical Support Engineer / IT Systems Administrator to join their team. They are a provider of market leading software and are ideally looking for a Technical Support / Systems Administrator who shares theirpassion for digital technology. The is a wide ranging Technical Support Engineer position incorporating mainly Windows system administration as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support. Ideally they are looking for a Technical Support Engineer who can contribute their own ideas to help improve the company’s IT infrastructure, system performance/efficiency and security.

The main technical responsibilities of the Technical Support Engineer will include:

  • 1st / 2nd / 3rd line internal user support
  • Deploying and configuring Windows Server 2016, 2012R2, 2008, 2003
  • Deploying and configuring the following server roles: Active Directory, DHCP and DNS and Group Policy
  • Virtualization with VMWare or Hyper V
  • Administrating ESXI Virtual Hosts
  • Office 365 administration

As the new Technical Support Engineer, you will have the chance to gain experience with the following:

  • PowerShell
  • Cloud solutions
  • VoIP
  • Configuring VLANs
  • Firewall configuration
  • Sophos UTM
  • Linux administration

Ideally our client are interested in speaking with local candidates. This role is based in Eynsham, just outside of Witney in the west of Oxfordshire. It’s also commutable fromsurrounding areas such asLong Hanborough, Burford,Oxford, Didcot, Abingdon, Grove, Wantage, Swindon, Bicester, Banbury and many more!
