Senior Accountant

Full Time Senior Accountant - Mid Senior Level (Public Practice)

My Client is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their busy and successful team.

They are a fast growing practice (circa 25% per annum over the past 5 years) with a head office in Sutton Coldfield.

Not all accountants are the same, and they believe they are different from other accountancy firms. Whether you are just starting-up or are an established business they can provide a tailored service with a fixed fee to suit your needs.

The role will initially be located in Sutton Coldfield, with a view to also attending other offices within the business.

Package

* Standard office hours; Monday to Friday, 09.00 - 17.00

Responsibilities

* Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions
* Produce error-free accounting reports
* Analyse financial information and summarise financial status
* Prepare financial accounts and audits
* Support month-end and year-end processes
* Provide technical support and advice for junior team members
* Provide client advisory services
* Visit and work from client premises on occasion

Requirements

* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ICAEW)
* Proven senior accounting experience
* Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
* Experience with creating financial statements
* Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end processes
* Excellent accounting software knowledge and administration skills - Iris/Sage Line 50/Microsoft Office
* High accuracy and attention to detail
* Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
* Good interpersonal skills
* Ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team
* Ability to travel across the Midlands to visit clients
* Ambition to progression within the practice
