A permanent role for an Accounts Assistant is being recruited for an exciting business based in Chester.

Client Details

A successful business based in Wirral is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their established accountancy function. The business has grown and now supplies across Europe, having built up a strong reputation over 30 years and now have 100 employees across the UK.


Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant role include:

  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Receiving, coding and recording of purchase invoices on a day to day basis
  • Statement reconciliations and payment runs
  • Updating and maintaining the sales ledger function
  • Posting and allocating cash receipts from the bank statements
  • Petty cash reconciliation
  • Closing off the purchase and sales ledger at month end
  • Daily banking and cash book reconciliations


We are looking for someone who is:

  • Demonstrate relevant transactional finance experience
  • Strong reconciliation experience
  • Good attention to detail
  • IT literate and good Excel skills
  • Well organised and motivated to work hard
