Your new role as an Accounts Payable Clerk will be working for a global Technology company based in Cambridge.
Your new role
In your new role as an Accounts Payable Assistant your main duties will include processing invoices, credit notes and taking responsibility for investigating discrepancies, coding invoices and processing expense claims. This role will also deal with a variety of accounts queries and there will be opportunities to assist the Senior Accounts Assistant with month-end tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a success in this role you will be adept at spotting errors, so if you don't enjoy getting into the detail this opportunity might not be for you. This position deals with high volumes of data, so you have to be able to keep yourself driven whilst working under pressure; although the team are great at keeping each other motivated.
You will need to call on your experience working within a busy accounting team and strong understanding of UK tax rules and HMRC legislation such as VAT and reverse charge VAT. You'll also be an experienced Excel user, with a working knowledge of pivot tables and functions like VLOOKUP and SUMIF.
