I am currently recruiting this Accounts Assistant position for a successful luxury retailer based within Central London. Prior experience working within a retail/FMCG or other similar industry would be desirable.

A/P management

  • Invoice coding (+/- 1000 per month)
  • Approve and manage Purchase Orders from all departments
  • Manage supplier queries and perform supplier reconciliations
  • Review weekly supplier payment runs

Petty Cash & travel expenses (Concur)

  • Manage petty cash and travel allowance requests
  • Maintain the petty cash reconciliation, requesting cash with financial services when required
  • Control cash card accounts, ensuring the cash is transferred when necessary and ensure users send monthly spend reports
  • Review employee expenses and pass for approval
  • Maintain the user information on the Concur Expenses system

Company Credit Card

  • Receiving requests and making payments
  • Monthly credit card reconciliation ensuring all transactions are coded correctly and accounted for

Month End Tasks

  • Submit Petty Cash and Credit Card reconciliations in line with month end timetable
  • Preparing monthly accrual/prepayment list
  • Reviewing companies TB making amendments where necessary
  • Review Invoice to Recharge account with Inter-companies and raise any invoices as applicable
  • Updating various departments cost trackers/reconciliations/analysis and highlighting any variations on budget to Financial controller

Credit control

  • Raising of invoices based on Invoice to Recharge account
  • Raising invoices to third parties including franchise partners
  • Reviewing aged debtors and chasing up outstanding invoices

Others

  • Assist with employee clothing allowance and personal orders
  • Managing relations with Franchise Partners, raising invoices and chasing outstanding invoices (Capex, contributions, marketing)
  • Raising invoices and monitoring costs by project for business
  • Assisting in VAT documentation
  • Liaising with Stores on any finance related queries
  • Supporting Financial controller in all aspects of the finance function
  • Various Cost analysis
  • Ad hoc duties

Preferences

  • Current AAT/ CIMA/ ACCA studier or equivalent
  • Prior experience working within a retail/ FMCG or similar fast paced industry
  • Pro active, self starter attitude
