Hays Education are delighted to be working on behalf of a large secondary school in North East Birmingham to recruit for a Deputy Headteacher for a temporary role to start from the 16th of April 2018. Your new role
In your new secondary Deputy Headteacher job you'll be required to lead the raising of achievement and have a main focus on teaching and learning across the school. Teaching commitments will be minimal depending on the school requirements on a weekly basis. The school are seeking to appoint an inspirational leader to take on the full responsibilities of a senior member of staff. The post holder will be expected to develop a team culture that fosters collaborative working between all teaching staff, ensuring a focused commitment to the delivery of a high quality learning experience, with excellent examination results for all students.
The role is offered as a temporary post full time, Monday to Friday and extra participation in the life of the school is expected. Due to the nature of the role it is offered as a paid to scale post. What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your new teaching job you will have completed your studies and hold a UK qualification. You will be an experienced Deputy Headteacher and will have recently completed a similar post across KS3 and KS4. You will be passionate about teaching and learning and committed to helping pupils to achieve their academic potential. The ideal candidate would have been in a long term or permanent role as a Deputy Headteacher and will be able to supply Hays with outstanding references from the previous employer.
