This school is an 11 - 18 comprehensive school based in Cheshire. The school is a recent amalgamation of two local secondary schools and has undergone a recent refurbishment. The school educates over one thousand mixed pupils from a range of socio-economic backgrounds. They are currently recruiting for a qualified Science teacher from April 2018 until the end of the Summer term.
Your new role
You will be responsible for teaching a timetable of KS3 and KS4 Science classes of mixed ability, full-time, five days per week. Your role will predominately involve traditional classroom teaching but some intervention sessions may be timetabled in during the course of your assignment. You will hold full teaching responsibilities including planning and preparation of lessons, marking and assessment, attending parents evening and pastoral responsibilities for a form class.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified teacher and have previous experience delivering KS3 and KS4 Science lessons. You will have a passion for learning and have a strong track record of helping pupils to achieve results. You will also possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills. You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a daily pay rate of between £100 - £130 per day and have the opportunity to teach your own timetable and deliver improvement and results for your own classes.
