My client is currently looking for a team Leader to work in day centre service for people with mental health and learning disabilities.

Overall Purpose of the Job:

To provide leadership and day to day line management of the delivery team

To plan, organise, co-ordinate, and deliver activities/sessions that are of a recognisably high standard and further our reputation as a quality service provider for people with learning disabilities.

To be responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective running of RealMe activities on a day-to-day basis to ensure customer and organisational needs and expectations are met.

To supervise and arrange the use of available resources (staffing, equipment, facilities, community, volunteers, partners) to ensure customers achieve measurable outcomes in the areas of independent living, life skills, socialisation, health and wellbeing, and employment.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Managing a staff team

  • Working with people with learning disabilities, including those with complex needs, in a range of settings

  • Planning, organising, co-ordinating and delivering activities in accordance with an adult learning framework

  • Record keeping and report writing- computer and paper based

  • NVQ3 qualified in a relevant field

  • Making efficient use of resources and working within a given budget

  • Building positive working relationships with customers, families, carers and professionals

  • Developing new contacts and partnerships
