Team Profile:We are looking to grow our Specialized Electronic Trading InfrastructureGroup with a senior Tooling and Automation developer.The Morgan Stanley electronic and algorithmic trading platform is thecore infrastructure behind the success of the Morgan Stanley Equitiesbusiness and continues to be a primary driver of future growth andsuccess in the industry. The individual will be developing / deliveringsolutions to enable smart decisions around the complete ElectronicTrading plant across all towers by joining together large volumes ofdata. They will automate activities that can be automated to free uptime for other value-add work with our partners.Role Profile:In addition to possessing the exceptionally strong technical skillslisted below, the ideal candidate must be able to write clear andconcise technical documentations and able to verbally communicate ideasand engage in technical discussions and debates with technicalmanagement while still maintaining professionalism.The individual will be a Vice President in the firm's SpecializedElectronic Trading Infrastructure (SETI) team. You will spend timeworking with ENS, EC and SETI engineers in our Innovation andPerformance Lab, operations and engineering staff as well as selectdevelopment and business staff for supporting client gateway, directmarket access systems, algo systems, order slicers and routers, as wellas a number of supporting systems inside MS traditional data centers andproximity hosted at colocation centers around the world.Qualifications:Required Skills: Strong understanding and practical experience of designing networks and security features such as policy automation, encryption, overlays, VRF, ACL, ISE, 802.1x, MAB, RADIUS etc. Programming experience (Java, C++, C#, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Ruby, Shell) or other high level programming or scripting tooling including extracting and updating data in enterprise data sources and interacting with the networks Experience performance tuning systems including skills in problem analysis, debugging, bottleneck detection, etc Deep Experience in Linux Systems. Must be capable of demonstrating high levels of proficiency from the command line Deep experience in network principles (routing & switching). Must be capable of demonstrating high levels of proficiency Financial services experience, preferably within the Capital Markets business area Experience with major equity markets incl. Co-Location offerings Desired Skills: Trading System Application Configuration / Deployment / Management Experience Familiarity with MIT Kerberos application within enterprise Linux environments as well as IPtables Detailed experience working with Unicast and Multicast network protocols and routing metro and regional FC networks.
