As an Associate in the European Investment Banking team,you will work with Officers and Senior Bankers on a variety of executionand business development assignments while interacting directly withsenior-level financial and strategic decision-makers at some of Europe'slargest corporations. Professionals in the European team are mainlylocated in London, Paris and Frankfurt and work closely with other IBDgroups and Global Capital Markets colleagues in Europe. An idealcandidate would have prior Consumer, Retail and financial industry /investment banking experience.Responsibilities Managing and assisting in the execution of corporate financetransactions (including IPOs, M&A, strategic advisory). Performing financial analysis, strategic business analysis anddetailed industry research. Contributing to team discussions and client meetings. Providing rapid and accurate market judgments to colleagues and clients. Preparing and delivering client presentations in a clear andcompelling manner. Acting as a mentor and role model to Analysts; promoting team culture. Working closely with experienced bankers on the team and across other groups.Qualifications:Skills required (essential): Top class undergraduate degree or equivalent from leading universities Relevant Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience orequivalent required Exposure to Consumer/Retail Investment Banking transactions is essential Fluency in English is essential Strong analytical and modelling skills - these are critical to successas an Associate Knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts; ability toanalyse and value businesses A positive, highly motivated individual who exhibits strong leadershipand management qualities Strong understanding of professional ethics and regulatory environment Demonstrate best in class professional integrity Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential Strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to excellence Committed to delivery of highest quality work product; strongattention to detail Proactive; self-motivated and goal oriented Strong organizational skills Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks undertight deadlines Strong team player able to work effectively in a team environmentMorgan Stanley is an equal opportunities employer.
