Multi-Skilled Engineer
Suffolk - To £35,000
This is a great opportunity to work as a part of the Maintenance team as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. Your role will involve:
·Providing immediate support in the event of machinery breakdowns
·Maximizing the plant availability on a range of process and packaging lines
·Proactively improving equipment operation to reduce machine downtime and increase production efficiency
·Carrying out tasks with minimal supervision and conducting work appropriately and safely
·Ensuring all machinery and services are in good working order, ready for production use

We will require you to:
·Have completed a time served Engineering apprenticeship
·Have recognised electrical and/or mechanical qualifications
·Use a logical and methodical approach to fault finding and resolution
·Have previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer / Packaging Engineer
·Have previous experience within a food production and packaging environment (FMCG)
·Be available if a major breakdown occurs which requires out of hours assistance to resolve the issue
·Have an understanding of PLC and computer controlled equipment and be competent in electrical/mechanical fault finding and analysis skills
·Ensure all work carried out complies with internal and legal policies
·Able to communicate with colleagues at al levels
·Be flexible, honest and a team member at all times
·Be Food Safety Aware
·Be positive by example, behaving appropriately with a “Can Do” attitude at all times in line with the company values and work policy.

Qualifications:
·Btech National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
·IEE 17th Edition (or equivalent)
·Electricity at Work Regulations
·Degree in Electrical Engineering (desirable but not essential)
·City & Guilds 2395 inspection & testing
·Siemans S7 course (or equivalent)
·Allen Bradley Programmer Training

Working hours: Your normal working hours are from 22:00pm-06:00am, Sunday-Thursday, with other shift patterns as and when required to cover Holidays or other absences. Or any hours which you may from time to time be required to work to properly discharge your duties under this contract. You may be required to work 15 Saturdays / Shifts during the working year to suit the requirements of the company.

Salary: £32,000-£35,000 depending on experience
