Are you or do you know anyone looking for some very ad-hoc part time work as an exam invigilator? I have a number of bookings in May and June, whereby I need up to 13 people to set up and invigilate exams from 8.15am to 12noon.

Benefits;
*£8.51 per hour
*Free parking
*Holiday accrual
*Pension
*Access to personal accident insurance

The key responsibilities for this role are;
*To conduct exams following the instructions as laid down by the Joint Council for Qualifications
*Guide exam candidates through emergency procedures prior to the exam starting
*Assist with setting up of exam room
*Ensure that all candidates have had their identification checked and that they are aware that they are under exam conditions
*Hand out the correct examination paper and any necessary stationery
*Supervise candidates at all times in a quiet and unobtrusive manner
*Be vigilant for cases of malpractice and accurately report such incidents to the lead invigilator or the examinations officer immediately
*Distribute any additional paper as required
*Collect and store all completed papers in candidate number order
*Ensure that examination papers are never left unattended
*Supervise any candidate leaving the exam room during an examination
*Inform the lead invigilator or the exams officer as soon as possible of any incident or unusual occurrence
*Guide candidates through emergency procedures if required

You will be required to stand for the duration of the exam and to keep a high degree of vigilance within the room. You will not need previous experience of doing this, however you'll need to demonstrate the ability to remain focused in a very quiet environment. You will also need to demonstrate the following key skills and attributes;
*Able to communicate clearly and calmly
*Must be very punctual and reliable
*Able to stand for the duration of the exam
*Excellent attention to detail and vigilance
*Able to work both independently and as a member of a team
*High level of diplomacy
*Work through unexpected circumstances using a common sense approach
*Ability to take instruction

The dates I have confirmed are;
*24th May x 10 people
*5th June x 3 people
*7th June x 13 people
*8th June x 5 people
*12th June x 5 people
*You will also be required to attend a mandatory training day on either the 18th or 19th April.

As you will be working in a place of education, you will be required to have an enhanced DBS check and provide 2 years worth of references. Any gaps in your employment/education within the last 10 years will also need to be verified.

I am looking to confirm these positions soon so that the DBS process can start. If you have job applications or holidays pending that may prevent you from completing the training and at least 2 of these dates, then please do not apply. These opportunities would ideally suit candidate who are only looking for part time temporary ad-hoc work.
