New recruits are delighted to be working with a well respected secondary school in Evesham, and are currently looking to recruit a senior finance officer.
Some duties of the post:
• Liaising with School Finance Team to ensure that records are accurate and financial controls are adequate to protect against fraud and waste
• In particular, maintaining accurate accounts of School Fund income and expenditure, reconciliation of banking and year end procedures, preparation and presentation of accounts for audit
• Maintaining financial information management systems
• Overseeing of ordering and receiving all goods and services checking advice notes and invoices,
• Checking and resolution of anomalies on monthly budget figures issued by Worcestershire County Council
• Arranging all banking and insurance
• Checking and submitting timesheets from staff, and maintaining full records thereof
• Raising invoices, mostly relating to school lettings and music tuition fees
• Liaison with Worcestershire County Council in relation to financial, payroll, insurance and technical matters
• Reviewing and advising budget holders of the financial status in the form of monthly reports
To apply for this role you must have:
• NVQ 4 or Degree or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience in relevant discipline
• Excellent numeracy/literacy skills
• Effective use of specialist ICT packages including knowledge and experience of E5/Mercury system
HOURS: 35 hours a week, term time only plus 3 weeks
8.30am to 4.00pm (with half hour lunch break
