Job Title: Product Management Technician

My client requires a Product Management Technician to join their Business Development team in the their Milton Keynes office.

Job Specification

• Responding to customer and intercompany enquiries on technical issues such as general enquiries, cross references, custom product designs within 48 hours
• Integrating and building professional working relationships with department members across the reporting structure, forming a particularly close working relationship, with the design engineering team in Milton Keynes and Dongguan, China
• Completing market analysis/investigations
• Creating and delivering NPIs (new product introductions) required elements
• Assisting with the creation and maintenance of product datasheets
• Proposing ideas when appropriate to improve departmental effectiveness and efficiency
• Forming an understanding of the nature of the business as a division and which markets we compete in
• Maintaining and enhancing Cross Reference tools for various
competitors
• Any additional duties required by the Product Managers

Routine Responsibilities

• Must demonstrate a keen attitude to learning and practical knowledge
• Approach every task or challenge, whether they be considered mundane or engaging with the same level of commitment and enthusiasm
• Be available for overtime should the need arise

Expectations

• Complete all projects within established schedules, with ability to manage multiple high priority projects.
• May be required to actively lead projects to support the department’s future vision and global initiatives.
• May serve as a focal point for problems and inquiries related to assigned projects.

Personal Attributes

To effectively perform the duties of a Product Management Technician, Individuals must be able to demonstrate a number of competencies that are essential to the position, which include:

Essential

• Ability to communicate in an articulate and well-spoken manner, both verbally and written.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word.
• Good working knowledge of Adobe software; In-design, Acrobat, Photoshop, training would be provided if required.
• Good analytical and organizational skills, with an eye for detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
• Ability to plan a project and carry the plan throughout the project life cycle.

Education/Experience

• Minimum 5 GCSE’s grade C or above (including Maths, English, Science)
• HNC in Electronics or ONC with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
