Insite International are currently recruiting for a permanent Credit Controller, near Maltby, Rotherham to start work as soon as possible.
Our client are a global leader in engineering component distribution, and are looking for a permanent and experienced Credit Controller to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
- Chasing payments of outstanding debts and negotiating with debtors to achieve the quickest and best level of recovery
- - Identifying slow paying accounts and notify the accounts manager of the relevant information
- Meet periodic cash collection targets in order to achieve cash flow objectives
- Deal with correspondence from debtors, third parties and clients to ensure that good service levels are maintained
- Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements
- Chasing debt by telephone and email, and reducing debtor days
- Liaising with the sales and accounts receivable teams to resolve outstanding queries
- Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices
- Issuing goods return and sales credits
- Positively promoting the company, and its products/services and ensuring that a professional image is provided at all times.
- Abiding by the companies policies and procedures in regards to confidentiality and data protection
- Undertaking any other reasonable, additional tasks and responsibilities not outlined above, in order to support the success and continuing performance of the department and company.

Key Skills Required
- Excellent communication skills, including telephone manner and technique
- Effective numeracy, literacy and word processing skills
- Ability to liaise closely with internal colleagues and parties
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Good negotiation skills with the ability to access issues and be assertive with debtors whilst showing empathy as required
- Ability to make decisions relating to the day to day tasks within your remit without upward referral, and refer wider reaching decisions to the accounts manager.
- Excellent organisational skills, demonstrates a logical and methodical approach with attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrating an analytical approach
- Have an ordered approach to documentation and procedures
- Willingness to learn and be flexible in the working arrangements
- Good time-management skills, ability to work autonomously and using initiative to plan own workflow to meet deadlines.
- The ability to handle confidential information in an appropriate manner

Knowledge Required
- Working knowledge and experience of Great Plains accounts software
- Good IT Skills and competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Good Knowledge of accounting procedures

Job Specifics
- This is a permanent, full time role
- Working hours are Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm
- Salary negotiable, depending on experience
- Immediate starts, following interview.
