What is the purpose of this role?

Our client, the UK's largest water and Wastewater Company is currently seeking an Events and Marketing Executive manager; working for on a permanent basis.

You will be the primary contact and coordinator for all CPD event management; from seeking out appropriate events; and beginning-to-end organising; to creating all the pre and post event communications.
At the heart of this role is producing creative and engaging content that makes a difference to their audience, encouraging them to take notice and interact with us. You'll use data and insight to develop the right messages, communications and channels for their customers.

This permanent role is based in Reading with a salary of up to £30k per annum depending on skills and experience. We offer a range of benefits including an excellent contributory pension scheme, ticket loans and paid volunteering days.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

The organisation and promotion of the CPD (Continuing Professional Development) events, regional events/exhibitions, conferences and sponsorship agreements as well as post event evaluation/reporting

Planning, organisation and management of their corporate hospitality events.

Taking advantage of and seek out opportunities that arise in the market, create engaging content for their newsletters, email campaigns, product launch information and PR.

Main point of contact for the website. Ensuring all content is up to date using their CMS system. Including product information, latest news, current campaigns etc.

Using their email marketing tool, create, send and evaluate all email campaigns.

Working to budget, ensure all payments are made on time by liaising with purchasing and the Marketing Manager.

Developing and leading a small team.

What skills are we looking for?

We are seeking a results-driven events professional with previous experience of running beginning-to-end marketing campaigns and events, presenting ideas to management and possess good project management skills.

To fly high in this role it is essential you have excellent communication skills, as you will be liaising with a range of stakeholders, external/internal customers and an array of different individuals. A high standard of interpersonal skills are vital and we are looking for someone who has a positive and friendly manner in dealing with clients and colleagues.

Also, key to the role is the ability to be proactive, prioritise and complete a variety of tasks within the required timescales and with the highest level of attention to detail.

Your excellent organisation skills will come hand in hand with a consistent display of passion, knowledge and confidence when contributing to meetings and offering opinions and ideas where sought for future marketing activity within the Property Searches team.

As well as being fantastic over the phone and face to face, your written communication skills and the ability to create reports and analyse key information is required.

You will need to fully proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and preferably have a full, clean UK driving licence and your own car. Due to the nature of this role, you will be expected to attend a number of events throughout the year
