Part Time Payroll Administrator required to join a business based in Royston.

This role is for between 20-25 hours a week and will be supporting process client payrolls. Day to day responsibilities will involve the following;

-Processing Clients Payroll
-Processing BACS payments
-Building and maintaining good relationships with clients liaising on payroll, employment and other matters, resolving client queries promptly
-A thorough knowledge and understanding of payroll matters and including current legislation
-Conducting compliance checks on a regular basis
-Processing starters, leavers, holiday pay, pension deductions using SMP/SPP/ SAP and SSP etc
-Issuing P45's, P60's etc
-Liaising with HMRC both in writing and on the telephone
-Calculation of tax and NIC contributions
-Dealing with auto enrolment, maintaining pension scheme records, schedules and payments
-Carry out RTI submissions and CIS returns
-Setting up and closing PAYE schemes
-Maintaining accurate and concise record systems
-Recording of time accurately on timesheets

Candidates will ideally have a practice background and be confident in running payroll from start to finish, Sage payroll would be an advantage and good knowledge of Auto enrolment pensions
