The Role

We are seeking an experienced Brand Manager to take responsibility for defining the brand strategy and building long-term plans for our Pristine, CleanWorks and Cleanline brands. Today, many of our customers trust these brands to deliver both high performance and exceptional value, complementing proprietary brands.
The brands are sold across multiple Bunzl UK & Ireland Operating Companies into numerous customer environments including the retail, hospitality, healthcare and construction sectors. We see significant opportunity to further professionalise the brands and to drive considerable growth of the brands across all our main market sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Defining and executing the long-term local brand ambition, objectives
and strategies for our Pristine, CleanWorks and Cleanline brands within
target markets
• Delivering sales and profit growth in line with company targets for each
three brands
• Delivering market share growth in line with company targets for each
three brands
• Working closely alongside specialist Category Managers responsible for
design and sourcing activity to develop the brands, and products, to
bring further value to our customers
• Brand & logo design/positioning
• All above the line, below the line and digital marketing activities
• Develop an understanding of key customers and their markets, along
with differences relative to proprietary brands, to ensure our product
benefits and positioning are effectively communicated to both our sales
teams and our customers
• Delivering best in class new product development launch plans,
ensuring maximum launch impact and continued post-launch support
and evaluation.
• To gather and interpret detailed market data to support and assist with
the successful delivery of key strategies.
• Ensure our brand trade pricing are aligned to channel needs and profit
targets and that the product attributes are clearly and specifically
oriented to the relevant markets
• Closely monitoring industry and competitor activity, to ensure plans are
maintained and adapted in a constantly changing environment.
• Develop range and product presentations to meet requirements of B2B

Skills Required

To be successful in this role you will already have some fantastic marketing experience under your belt, ideally within a Brand Manager or Assistant Brand Manager role previously. You will be passionate, tenacious; results focused and enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. Acting as an ambassador for the brand, you will have strong project management and analytical skills.
You will need to be highly organised, conscientious and a team player. Pro-activity and enthusiasm are essential elements for this role as is proven leadership capability and creative thinking. You’ll also:

• Experience of working within a B2B (preferable) or FMCG product
• Knowledge of away-from-home and/or cleaning & hygiene products an
• Be able to run sizable projects and work streams from concept to
• Be able to demonstrate your experience of leading major new product
development and launches
• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of customer research and
• Demonstrate strong presentation skills, targeting a wide audience from
customers to internal stakeholders
• Commercially astute with the ability to implement and manage pricing
planning for both existing and new products
• Proven track record in dealing with external marketing agencies, relating
to brand/design and insight
