MARKETING ASSISTANT

BIRMINGHAM

FREELANCE- 3 MONTH CONTRACT

MUST HAVE RESIDENTIAL/ HOUSING EXPERIENCE

Job Purpose

The Marketing Assistant will work as part of the Sales and Marketing team, assisting the Marketing Manager to deliver cost effective marketing activities. Within a national house builder.

Principal Duties

* Managing and updating the website;
* Approving and sending out HTML’s to the database via MailChimp
* Uploading news stories and blog posts to the website;
* Provide updates on the visitor and purchaser profiles
* Ensure that marketing material is accessible and available for all developments for off plan sales and site launches and that materials are continuously available and updated as appropriate
* Ensure that all marketing material is sent to external marketing/PR agencies/Estate Agents
* Liaising with our external marketing/PR agencies to enhance the image and brand of the company and deliver effect marketing activities;
* Checking and editing marketing material, adverts and press releases prior to publication;
* Responding to external sales and marketing enquiries for upcoming developments;
* Updating and managing the database in line with the Data Protection Act;
* Managing and extracting databases from COINs, the website and other third party channels (e.g. Help to Buy) to use for marketing campaigns;
* Checking and approving all social media updates prior to publication (e.g. tweets, facebook posts etc);
* Liaising with our external marketing/PR agencies to ensure our social media outlets are being utilised to the best of their ability, whilst assessing their effectiveness;
* Raising purchase orders for marketing materials and sales stationery;
* Checking, coding and approving invoices and dealing with invoice queries;
* Raising payment requests;
* Managing and auditing the gift card system for completions;
* Uploading development photography to Asset Bank;
* Developing marketing procedures within the office for efficient communication between site sales and head office sales and marketing department;
* Providing holiday and sickness cover for the Sales Administrator and supporting them when needed.

Additional sales tasks will be required - ie. Contract checking and collating competitor information

Experience & Skills

* Marketing experience preferred;
* Experience of using CMS (content management systems) and social media;
* Ideally experience within the property sector in some capacity with familiarisation of housing terms and/or new homes;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently to strict deadlines;
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Must be organised, diligent, enthusiastic and driven;
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, proof reading
