Job title: Quality Assurance Inspector
Job location: Derby, Derbyshire
Hourly Pay Rate: £9.21 - £10.69 PAYE OR £11.43 - £13.35 LTD
Shifts: 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00
Hours per week: 37 hours per week
Duration: 12 Months plus
Start date: September 2017

Client Summary:
Our client is a global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing. They are looking for individuals who want a fantastic opportunity to gain some hands on industry experience at an exciting time for the business.
Position Summary:
In this role you will be required to perform final safety checks to ensure that the train is fit to run before it leaves the depot for testing. You will be required to examine the under-frame of the carriages to ensure there are no loose cables or wiring. You will be responsible for checking that all components are fastened safely and securely. You will also be responsible for checking various different safety aspects before you allow the vehicle out of the depot.
Essential Experience/skills
• Previous experience working in a safety critical environment
• Small amount of mechanical experience
• Experience performing quality/safety checks
• A keen and thorough eye for detail
• Extremely safety conscience
Desirable experience
• Knowledge of rolling stock
• Hands on practical ability
• Previous experience MOT/road safety testing
Additional Information:
• Loyalty Pay Scheme – Following your 1st years’ service you shall receive a 15% pay rise and following a 2nd years’ worth of service shall be an additional 15% pay rise.
• On the job training provided – ‘buddy system’
