Senior Technical Lead - South Mimms

IDE Group currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Lead to join a team based at South Mimms. The Senior Technical Lead will be working at one of our customer sites who are global leader in the characterisation, standardisation and control of biological medicines. The Senior Technical Lead will be working as part of a team who play a key role in the delivery of high quality technical support, giving an exceptional customer experience and a personalised service.

Senior Technical Lead Key Responsibilities:

* The Senior Techncial Lead will be responsible and accountable for improving and maintaining the existing infrastructure estate using tools such as SCCM and modern update techniques
* The Senior Technical Lead will play a big part in ensuring a strong security posture by applying the relevant security updates and measures to mitigate risk to IT services
* Resolving 2nd/3rd line support calls and escalated issues
* Supporting and maintaining infrastructures and Networks to ensure maximum service ability

Senior Technical Lead Key Skills:

Substantial knowledge of Microsoft systems and solutions including (but not limited to):

* Active Directory
* Group Policy
* Microsoft Server technology including SCCM
* Windows Deployment using SCCM
* Application Packaging
* Hyper-V or VMWARE Clusters
* Excellent experience in virtualisation technologies including VMware vSphere and Citrix
* Microsoft Exchange Server knowledge
* Azure knowledge is desirable as you will be liaising with Infrastructure Team
* Compiling PAC files – IE proxy exception
* Anti-Virus Update and Patching – McAfee.
* Deploying, Patching and Updating Office 365 Apps to Host computers.
* RSA Administration knowledge and Single Sign On

Senior Technical Lead Experience:

* Previous experience in an Infrastructure/2nd Line Support role.
* Strong experience with Windows tech, especially Windows 7, 8.1, 10, Windows Server 2008 & Server 2012. And ability to provide support Citrix based clients
* Experience of Linux administration
* Knowledge of Server and SAN hardware
* Disk Encryption Technology – MBAM & Bitlocker
* Basic Scripting skills. – PowerShell
* A strong understanding of & experience within a network infrastructure - Routing & Switching
* Knowledge of Incident Management Tools – ServiceNow
* Problem, Incident and Change Management Experience
* Experience of working to SLA's as well as creating clear expectations to the customer
* Industry recognised qualification such as an MCP/MCSE MCP/MCSA/MCSE/MCTS or equivalent qualification is advantageous

Other Details:

* Must have a clean and valid DBS disclosure (we will arrange this for successful applicant)
