Position: Team Leader (MD19015)
Location: Kings Lynn, Norfolk
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: Approximately 42 hours per week, shifts will vary as per the rota and will include day and sleep in night shifts. Flexibility will be required to ensure our client’s care needs are met.
Salary: £16.50-£17.50 per hour

About the role:

A Team Leader is required to lead an existing care team to provide a flexible support service in our client’s home.

Our client is an adult male, wheelchair user, who has physical and cognitive support needs, following an acquired brain injury. The role will involve working on a one to one basis with our client, but also working closely with our client’s family, his Case Manager (clinical professional) and involved therapists.

The Team Leader will be influential in creating an environment within which the needs of our client can be met and is a fantastic opportunity for a Team Leader or aspiring Team Leader to join an established care team.

Rate of pay will be dependent on shift:

Weekday: Monday to Friday Day Shifts - £16.50 per hour
Weekend: Saturday and Sunday Day Shifts - £17.50 per hour
Weekday: Monday to Friday Night Shifts £120.00 per shift
Weekend: Saturday and Sunday Night Shifts £180.00 per shift

About you:

You must have previous experience of working in a care environment with experience of supervising staff, managing rotas and developing and following care / support plans.

Our client likes to spend time with his daughter and has several leisure interests including attending the gym and the theatre. We are therefore ideally seeking candidates who can support him in accessing and participating in these activities.

Candidates must have the ability to demonstrate a person centred approach to their work and must be able to undertake training courses as required. It is essential that you have the following skills:

-Ability to work in confidential manner, being honest and conscientious whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
-Reliable and punctual
-Ability to act pro-actively and make informed decisions

-Excellent team player

You must also hold a full driving licence.

Due to the nature of the role an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service will be required.
