Our Client is currently looking for a Part Time Home Finder centred around the Youth Homelessness sector.

Temp to Perm role

18.75 hours per week

£21,937 - £24,405 per annum, pro rata

• To manage and oversee the running of a private rented scheme across the localities.

• To support the Support Teams to carry out their role in helping Young People find and maintain accommodation.

• To ensure all relevant associated administration and procedures are carried out such as taking up references, notifying referrals and agencies of outcome of interviews, keeping databases up to date.

• To ensure outcomes and targets are met and report to your Line Manager and other stakeholders.

• To monitor referral list and manage waiting list. To ensure that adequate records are kept regarding clients.

• To ensure Young People are accompanied when viewing accommodation for the first time.

• To develop Pre-tenancy training for young people.

• To liaise with landlords ensuring properties and tenancies are appropriate, safe and affordable and ensuring property standards are in line with HSSC standards.

• Overseeing signing of contracts and inventories.

• To set up new links with local landlords and letting agencies.

• To ensure links with the National Landlords Association.

• To build and maintain relationships with landlords and ensure that there is negotiating and mediating between tenants and landlords during tenancy when needed.

• To promote the scheme at Landlords forums and with partner agencies and develop a Landlords Newsletter.

• To build relationships with other accommodation and Support providers as well as Social Services, Probation and Housing benefit.

• To encourage take-up of savings scheme amongst tenants and monitor progress.

• To attend meeting with landlord and tenant at end of tenancy to sign off inventory and manage claims on Bond. To deal with claims against the deposit or guarantee as they arise.

• To be flexible by being available out of hours on a rota basis to offer information, advice, and guidance to colleagues and in crisis situations provide emergency cover within your own Project.


• To work within budget restraints and ensure cash handling is carried out in accordance with policy.
