Role: Project Manager

Location: East midlands and Anglian area.

Our Client is a well renowned UK Company whose products and service are of the highest quality and used on large special purpose projects all over the country in the water sector with specific experience with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls, Automation (MEICA). They are seeking an Exemplary Project Manager from ideally the water background, one who is ambitious, dynamic and motivated, who will have the commitment and knowledge to run with projects from cradle to grave, meet deadlines and give solutions to customer issues that may occur across the section/project.

To covers the East midlands and Anglian MEICA area initial numbers are approximately 600 remote sites.

Working within the water industry in the South East of the UK.

The Project Manager will be working direct for the client within existing MEICA agreements.

Validate and negotiate quotations from key suppliers and sub-contractors. Ensure enquiries include correct ‘terms and conditions’ and ensure proposed subcontractors agree to company ‘terms and conditions’.

Liaise with internal purchasing departments to ensure awareness of contract set up and any subsequent relevant contract developments.

Agree budget, scope and programme with team.

Manage Installation & Commissioning activities

Managing the client interface

Liaise with internal resource for the preparation of H&S documentation including but not limited to RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, CDM/Design Risk Assessments.

The ideal Project Manager will have worked within a similar environment with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls, Automation (MEICA).

Shall be based in the Principal Contract Area and have responsibility for ensuring that all mechanical engineering works are specified, planned and delivered in accordance with the appropriate legislative and MEICA standards.

The Project Manager should have a minimum of Degree in Mechanical Engineering or HNC/D Mechanical Engineering and relevant and extensive experience.

The ideal candidate will have a 10 years mechanical experience in water control structures of which 5 years must have been managing a site engineering team.
