Key Accountabilities

·Lead, develop and motivate shift management team.

·Supporting with planning and managing production schedules to ensure we meet customer delivery requirements, taking into account capacity, labour resource, machine changeover and production line efficiencies and allocated engineering/hygiene shutdown time

·Ensuring a positive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded in your team from day one and ensure site compliance

·Legal, commercial and moral obligation to ensure food produced is safe for consumption and that food safety standards are maintained at all times;

·Improve productivity through promoting a Continuous Improvement Culture and manufacturing initiatives, maintaining excellent employee relations and identifying and promoting employee learning and training;

Experience

·Successful implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives

·Decision-making in remote unit or on shift

·Large manufacturing organisation background

·Experience of achieving and managing K.P.I’s such as Output, OEE, Waste, OTIF targets

Person Specification

·A leader with the ability to get things done;

·Good communicator with strong personal ethics;

·A team player with a willingness to listen and act with

the bigger picture in mind;

Education and Qualifications

·Educated to a good standard of general education;

·Engineering or professional manufacturing qualifications an advantage.

·CI Qualifications an advantage e.g. Six Sigma Black Belt

·Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes

Work Pattern & hours

·37.5 hours per week between the hours of 8 and 5pm

·Any hours outside of core working hours as deemed reasonable to discharge the requirements of the role.

· On call as and when required;

·Flexible to work across our UK sites where necessary
