Jark Reading Ltd is working close with a company based in Slough which was established in 1974 manufacturing complex small volume parts for the aerospace and medical devise industries. They have an opportunity for a tool maker/ precision engineer to join their highly skilled team at their facory in Colnbrook, Slough.
They are seeking a versatiule multi skilled individual to support their production department in a wide range of activities including inspection, quality control and production planning. At least 5 years experience of working in precision engineeering workshop environment is required.

The Role

Complete fist article inspection reports.
Optimising production capacity, investigating and controlling back orders and shortages.
Prioritising and assinging works orders, working closely with production manager and customers.
Continuos improvement and maintaining AS9100 accreditation and practises.
Prepare release documentation of finished parts
Work to close tolerance on intricate small assembly work

Qualifications and personal attributes

CNC skills background in subcontract machine shop and fully conversant with current CNC machinery and technologies including turning and milling. Experience ofworking in aerospace or medical device manufacturing would be desirable. Understand of ISO9001 and AS9100 regulations would be an advantage.

The applicant will need to be trained toolmaker or apprentice trained machinist, with relevant experience working within a production environment
Experience using a range of workshop measuring equipment
Be computer literate, including the us of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Demonstrate meticilous attention to detail
Have a strong work ethic and be able to work as part of a team
Experience of investigating manufacturing processes and suggesting improvement actions
Training will be given in all quality/regulatory related practices but experience of CNC machining environment is essential.

The successful candidate will be working for a profesisonal, profitable and well-structured business as part of a highly skilled team of engineers. Standard working week is 40 hours with extra hours available. Flexi-time is available between the company opening hours of 6.00am to 6.00pm.
