dB Recruitment are currently working with their manufacturing client based in the Renfrew area. We are looking for Technical Operators to join an expanding team.
The Role
• Directly reporting to the Production Team Leader, your key tasks will be to manufacture electrical and / or mechanical sub-assemblies and complete units.
• Processing the units through approved test procedures to comply with specifications.
• Assisting in order kitting process as required
• Copper pipe preparation ready for assemblies
• Component testing for leaks and purity
• Fault finding and analysis
• Crating and packing final assembly for shipping
• Engaging with Materials and Warehouse Teams to ensure stock integrity, expediting shortages, kitting as and when required.
• Engaging with Quality Assurance regarding final inspection
The Candidate
• You will be a self-starter, who is comfortable working to targets and will have a strong detail focus.
• Experience from a similar manufacturing background.
• Experience of working in a mechanical assembly environment.
• Basic electrical knowledge – preparation of basic harness assembly incl. soldering and crimping techniques.
• Awareness of CSA, PED, and ISO9001 accreditation standards would be a benefit.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong team focus.
• Continual improvement focus.
• A high level of flexibility and commitment will be required as you will be working as part of a small team and at times maybe required to work unsupervised
