A school we are currently working in partnership with in the South Birmingham area require a Speech and Language Therapist / Graduate to work with pupils with SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs).

You will work closely with SEN students who have been identified with SLCN on both a one-to-one and small group basis and will contribute towards a purposeful learning environment by supporting these pupils and working collaboratively with the class Teacher and outside agencies. You will be working with both verbal and non-verbal pupils on a rotational basis and as such you will need to have relevant and recent experience of working with SLCN. You should be patient and sensitive to the pupil’s needs and frustrations, and you will have the ability to encourage pupils and help with progression in this area. Experience of phonics schemes would be advantageous, but is not essential for the role.

This role is ideal for Speech and Language Therapists who are looking to work within a school setting, or Speech and Language Graduates who are interested in a career in Education. This is a demanding role, but is extremely rewarding and varied. You will be working in a well-established, school in the South Birmingham area, with a supportive SEN team and full training provided to help you excel in your role.

This is a full time role available asap for the successful candidate.
