QA Test Analyst

The QA Test Analyst will be responsible for software testing of all Interactive products, including preparation and execution of test plans and scripts, to high quality standards and agreed timescales. The role will require ensuring that all aspects of Software Quality Assurance are delivered to meet business expectations.

Main Accountabilities
• Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
• Be able to understand and interpret functional wireframes and specifications
• Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to write test plans and test cases based on functional requirements, use cases and technical requirements; work directly with business stakeholders to clarify as needed.
• Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
• Work with project teams through the design and test stages to ensure strict adherence to business requirements.
• Develop test assets that cover areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers through software reporting tools like Jira and monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
• Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.

Experience, qualifications and other requirements

• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the software quality assurance field including prior hands-on quality engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies – functional, regression, black box, white box, performance testing.
• Experience testing SaaS / Cloud based applications.
• Demonstrated experience with testing tools, Bug tracking systems and test case management applications.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to be client facing
• Familiarity with the entire software development life cycle and test cycles (Unit, Regression, Functional, Systems, Stress & Scale, and Smoke & Sanity).
• Expertise using Jira, test Link, Confluence, Git.
• Automation experience / certifications are beneficial
