Data Centre Manager (Vendor Manager) – Cloud, AWS, Windows, SQL, Exchange, Hyper-V, HP- package to £53,000 plus fantastic benefits!! – Spalding, Lincolnshire

1.8 Billion organisation has a great opportunity for a Data Centre Manager / Vendor Manager to manage and be accountable for my clients Data centre and server/comms room environments ensuring they meet the required standards and in the future developing new cloud services, (AWS, Azure etc) and also be responsible for managing budgets and suppliers ensuring standards and best value is maintained.

Your team as a Data Centre Manager will provide resources to cover new projects designs and deliveries as well as providing knowledge transfer to support teams. This is a crucial role in managing a team responsible for delivering the infrastructure that underpins critical applications and services. The main objective is to develop, implement and maintain the platforms that enable technical solutions to be hosted and ensure they are fit for purpose and deliver within the capacity, availability, continuity and security of the platform and adhere to technology and business standards.

Your responsibility as a hands-on Data Centre / Vendor Manager is the effective management of a Platform Team along with the lifecycle management of technologies and their availability, this includes contract and relationship management with suppliers, ownership and accountability for the operation of the platform service to meet agreed SLAs, especially during major incidents and developing and maintaining a strategic roadmap for the platform, this will include capital planning towards capacity management, upgrade paths, version control, asset and configuration maintenance and management as well as applying security controls.

You will have full accountability for ensuring the platform environment is fully supportable, maintained, optimised and licensed during its full lifecycle. There is a requirement for planning and prioritising the pipeline, ensuring projects are resourced and delivered within agreed designs, timescales and budgets and all solutions are fit for purpose and aligned with technology and business standard and strategy. These should be handed over to support teams following successful testing, transition and release.

In return you will receive a package of upto £53,000 salary, 25 days, contributory pension package, health insurance and training for business and personal development.

This role is commutable from Peterborough, Lincoln, Spalding, Kings Lynn, Boston, Grantham, Stamford, Sleaford, Kings Lyn, Wisbech.
