TM Resourcing (Technical & Engineering) are proudly recruiting on behalf of a global engineering giant.

Our client supplies precision components for the power, oil & gas, petrochemical sectors.

An opportunity has now arisen for an experienced CNC machinists to join their small team, who are responsible for setting and operating a variety of manual and CNC machines.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

*

The Machinist will be required to establish tasks required, gaining involvement from the team in order to optimise line performance and working to continuously improve quality and eliminate errors.
*

Accountable for the delivery of results to time, cost and quality targets, managing and updating matrices daily to track and also maintain operational logs for equipment as necessary.
*

Maintain a proactive approach to Health & Safety and work within all the requirements of the Environment Health and Safety Management System
*

Participate in projects relating to the team and overall operation projects e.g. lean related activities to continually improve the operational effectiveness of the process and areas.
*

Interface with suppliers and manage / maintain supplies of consumable materials related to the area through DLF (Direct Line Feed) or Kanbans.
*

Interface with customer or third party inspectors where required.
*

Ensure area is kept in ‘presentation’ condition at all times.
*

Develop, maintain and adhere to SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
*

Define, diagnose and solve problems using a logical and disciplined approach (i.e. 8D).

Person Specification

*

Apprentice-trained with good machine shop experience / ONC preferred with a minimum of 3 years’ previous experience of working in a valves & controls manufacturing environment.
*

Experience of MAZAK and Siemens control systems required.
*

Proven experience of project and process development work also desirable.

Package & Benefits

Working hours: DAY SHIFTS – 37 hours per week

*

Monday to Thursday – 7:30AM to 4PM (1 hour for lunch)
*

Friday – 7:30AM to 12:30PM (No lunch)

*
