We have a great opportunity for a Learning Design Manager to join our client’s learning and development business based in Cardale Park, Harrogate.

Please note: This is a 12-month contract to cover a maternity leave.

The team comprises experienced specialists who service the needs of the business and clients by driving innovative design through creating engaging learning journeys. The team is expanding the business’s existing range of learning methods to include digital and other media.

Our client is a learning and development business that was recently awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise. They help people in organisations around the world be better at managing or leading, working as a team or making progressive changes to their organisations and culture.

The Role
As Learning Design Manager, your key responsibilities will be to:

* Lead the Client Solutions team, to design and develop the optimum solutions, ensuring user journeys within the whole design are engaging, fit for purpose and user friendly
* Oversee all stages of the ADDIE learning cycle (Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) for client programmes, applying L&D knowledge when designing face-to-face or digitally-enabled learning solutions
* Project manage employed and subcontracted Subject Matter Expert (SME) contributions
* Support standardisation and simplification of processes in global design roll-outs
* Analyse strategic, operational and evaluation reporting and manage any associated activity and recommendations to enhance design and solution quality
* Research and develop blended learning solutions to deliver the company’s strategy
* Monitor, evaluate and improve the quality of designed solutions
* Provide a high level of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite knowledge and skills
* Manage and maintain the Knowledge Management System, via Microsoft Teams, with core content and resources
* Work with all key stakeholders on a project (clients, third party suppliers, internal and external subject matter experts, professional and regulatory bodies)

The Person
For the role of Learning Design Manager, we are looking for the following qualities, knowledge and skills:

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues and clients at all levels, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and decisions, both verbally and in written communications
* Highly energised and motivated to effect change and deliver high quality creative solutions
* A high level of People and Project Management skills, ideally in a global environment
* Learning Design knowledge with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role and CIPD, ATD or equivalent qualification in the area of Learning Design and Development is desirable but not essential.
* In-depth understanding of the skills, tools and processes used to create high quality blended learning solutions
* Ability to work under pressure and with ambiguity to make effective decisions, able to deal with and prioritise multiple projects
* Highly adapted IT Skills, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is desirable, experience of using webinar platforms, ideally WebEx

Salary & Hours
As Learning Design Manager, you will work Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with an hour’s break for lunch. The role may also require flexibility on a reciprocal arrangement for global contacts and an ability to travel.

There is a salary on offer of £30,000 to £33,000 per annum depending on experience, and you will receive 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
