Kick-start your career in IT by gaining skills that will help build towards your future career goals! Take advantage of a structured learning journey, enabling you to develop and succeed.
Apprenticeships are investments in the future – they are designed to offer you a structured learning programme which will coach you and help you to develop the skills you need to be successful!
You’ll learn from experienced professionals in a working environment whilst receiving external training and support from our Apprenticeship provider. If you are more of a hands-on learner and want to really sink your teeth in to a new challenge, then you may be interested in our unique opportunity for a IT Apprentice (Infrastructure Technician)!
Our Apprenticeship programme will run for 12-18 months on a full-time basis (37 hours per week) which will be a mixture of work and classroom-based learning. Once you’ve completed your Apprenticeship, you’ll achieve the BCS Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship and will be a skilled, reliable and valued employee which will be highly advantageous for the potential to offer you permanent employment. Whilst this isn’t guaranteed, we’ll strive to find a suitable opportunity to enable you to continue growing and progressing in your chosen career path!
As Hampshire’s largest provider of affordable homes with around 850 staff, we’re a people focused business; we work hard to create a high profile, fun, friendly working environment, recruiting high level expertise and investing in our staff’s development, whilst looking after their wellbeing. Just some of the many reasons why we want to be your employer of choice!
As an IT Apprentice, you’ll help manage and maintain our IT ServiceDesk, providing a customer focused IT service to all our users. You’ll assist in the administration and user support for mobile and fixed devices, ensuring incidents and problems are resolved and support the team to roll out any new initiatives. Take a look at our Job Spec (attached) for more information about what you’ll be doing.
No previous experience is required – all we ask is that you’re keen, enthusiastic, self-motivated and driven to learn and succeed! If you’re successfully shortlisted, you’ll attend our fun and interactive assessment day on 26th April 2018 so please make sure you’ll be available to attend when applying. If you’re selected as the best person for the role then we’ll need you to be ready to start your employment on 21st May 2018.
