Are you looking for a new Workshop & Stock Manager role with a market leading organisation in the recycling sector? QCR supplies thousands of businesses with the very best recycling solutions, predominantly pneumatic and hydraulic balers throughout the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Manager to motivate a team of refurbishment engineers and ensure all equipment leaving the workshop to be installed on customer sites is of the highest quality.

The role also includes managing an Engineering Stores, maintaining good stock levels.

You'll also have responsibility for Facilities Management and Health & Safety (preferably IOSH qualified).

This is a varied and highly responsible role where you'll be working closely with the Admin & Finance teams to drive efficiency and move the business forward.

The Workshop

* The overall Management of the Workshop (including Warehouse & Yard).
* Overseeing the refurbishment and servicing of recycling equipment, predominantly pneumatic and hydraulic waste balers.
* Managing and organising a small team of Refurbishment Engineers with the help of a Workshop Supervisor.
* Be responsible for Facilities Management and Health & Safety Management Systems (preferably IOSH qualified), carrying out all required inspections and/or organising the inspections, testing and maintenance of plant and equipment within the premises.
* Ensure the premises remain legally compliant, clean and tidy, and uphold/enforce the standards and policies of the company.

Stock Control

* To deliver an efficient, effective, safe and tidy store.
* Develop the layout and set up of stores.
* To provide spare parts to the Engineering maintenance & refurbishment teams in a timely manner.
* To have sufficient spare parts to support both scheduled maintenance and repair requirements, refurbishment requirements and ensure business resiliency.
* To monitor stock levels between min/max parameters and place replenishment orders.
* Goods receiving, inspection, storage and picking of spare parts.
* Maintain an accurate and up to date Stores stock control and Purchase Order system.
* The ongoing maintenance and management of stock levels in the main and satellite stores and Engineers vans.
* Liaise with manufacturers re upgraded parts and modifications and ensure Engineers receive information and upgraded parts in a timely manner.
* Assist with Engineer queries from site.
* Take responsibility for warranty claims.
* Provide assistance in the identification of parts for the Engineering team.
* Build relationships with suppliers, seeking best value and service.
* Control all consumables stock, ie levels, re-order and picking orders.

Essential Skills:

* Experience in Facilities Management & Health & Safety Management essential
* Experience in Stock Management essential
* Proficient with Microsoft Word, and Excel
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to meet targets in a busy environment
* Ability to communicate clearly both internally and with suppliers
* Must have excellent problem solving skills, be flexible, reliable, and display a positive attitude
* Fork Lift Truck licence desirable or willing to train

Desirable Skills:

* IOSH qualified
* Applicants will preferably have good knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and electro mechanical systems, and an ability to understand any new products.
