TITLE Project Quality Inspector

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The primary role is to assist the Quality manager and directors in the quality management of the business. You should be meticulous about meeting standards and customer expectations and committed to improving business performance.

Quality inspectors aim to ensure that the client provides product fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. This includes legal compliance and customer expectations.
As a quality inspector, you will coordinate the activities required within the inspection team to meet these quality standards and timescales.
The role primarily is a project specific role, to ensure high standards required by the customer. To ensure these are monitored. Checking all aspects of materials goods in and workmanship in the manufacturing of our goods and the recording of findings in line with the quality management system and measuring against set standards. To assit in the expediting of stage & final inspection along with review of material certificates and producing final reports for approval of the Quality manager & customer review.

Initial contract 3 months.

REPORTS TO Quality Manager

CONTROLS & REPORTING

• Experience in inspection & use of inspection equipment. for stage and final inspection
• Ability to interpret detailed drawings and customer specifications.
• Experience of fabricated welded structures In line requirements of EN 1090
• Attend, when required, ‘in house’ meetings to report progress & provide technical details
• Produce client report deliveries against schedules
• Proficient in Word, PDF and basic Excel
