Technical Support Advisor (Broadband)
Up to £25,000

Our client, a national organisation is currently seeking a 2nd line Support Advisor to join their Gloucestershire operation on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting and dynamic environment.

As a Technical Support Advisor, you would have the following responsibilities;
• Handling broadband technical support issue by phone, email or web chat
• Investigating and resolving basic routing queries and broadband service queries
• Communicating to customers in a clear and easy to understand way
• Prioritising service issues, understanding when and who to escalate to
• Utilising problem-solving skills to resolve customer problems
• Liaising between service departments and technical support
• Maintaining technical knowledge – continuously looking to improve, develop and find new ways of working

Skills and knowledge:
• Previous experience of technical support and troubleshooting is essential
• Understanding of Broadband networking (Copper/Fibre) and Voice (IPBX/VOIP)
• An understanding of ADSL, Fibre, home networking and associates broadband technologies
• Experience of working with Windows/IOS/Unix operating systems
• Comfortable with setting up a wired or wireless broadband connection at home
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to communicate technical information in customer friendly terms
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Great time management and prioritisation skills
