Production Team Leader - Nights

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000pa
Working Hours: 18:00 – 6.00 – 4 Days per week
Location: Coventry

Company Overview:
Our client specialise in Automotive Interior Trim for both the bespoke markets and Tier 1 customers into some of the larger OEMs, and is certified to TS 16949:2009.

Overview of the role:
• To achieve production requirements as determined by the daily production plan, ensuring machine utilisation, efficiency and quality standards are met and constantly maintained.
• To ensure that all production information MUST BE input and recorded
• To co-ordinate the production activities of all team members.
• To ensure all Health, Safety and Environmental standards are met in your area.

Job Objectives:
• To monitor and control team members in order to meet targets and set KPI’s as listed in Job Description and ensure quality targets and standards are met.
• To co-ordinate the efforts of team members to ensure production plan is achieved
• To ensure all team members fully understand their duties and are capable of achieving their goals and objectives
• To identify any constraints or bottlenecks that will affect the overall production plan and / or Quality requirements.
• To monitor and control downtime and report any excessive downtime.
• To hold weekly team briefs at the set time and ensure all team members are involved in the communication process.
• To attend any meetings and any training as and when required.
• To report the teams performance at the operational meeting.
• To ensure and maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times
• To identify any overtime requirements to catch back lost production on a daily basis when possible.
• To ensure that non-team members have gained permission to enter the cell/bay, if not people need to be removed ensuring production is not affected / health and safety is not compromised.
• To ensure that eating and smoking does not take place outside the authorised break times.
• To ensure operators are multi-skilled to enable them to work on other processes within the cell.
• To ensure that all boxes / pallets / sub assembly parts are in place to ensure that operators and processes are not slowed or stopped.
• To lead / encourage and support team members in Continuous Improvement projects.
• To stand in for team members who have to leave the bay temporarily, performing all jobs in the cell / bay at min UPH / quality level.
• Investigate any Performance or H & S issues arising within the bay.
• Communicate with other Co-ordinators /Team leaders / Cell leaders to ensure all concerns, constraints, capacity problems, quality problems etc. are communicated between team members / shifts.
• Manage attendance in their area
