SEN Teaching Assistant
Classroom is delighted to be working once again to be working with an SEN school is Lambeth which is looking to appoint a number of learning support assistants across its school and college sites on a full time, long term basis from September 2017.
The school caters for Secondary aged pupils with PMLD or SLD and are looking for bright, proactive teachers to join their team. There are only 70 pupils at the school site and you will be very well supported by colleagues and senior staff. There is no more than 5 pupils in each class and almost every pupil has their own teaching assistant which is why the school is looking to now appoint a number of teaching assistants for the new academic year.
The students are predominantly working towards level 1 of the national curriculum and in some subject areas exceeding this. They use P-Levels and non-academic progress in areas such as communication, independence, behaviour and other personal individualised goals.
You will be able to work closely with the teacher, as well as other colleagues, parents and pupils. You will be passionate about working with pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties, in order to help them achieve their individual learning objectives.

By working with Classroom you will work with a dedicated SEN teaching consultant and will be paid on a weekly basis. Classroom is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this role.
