Our client has a vacancy for a Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join their very busy Solihull-based Plots Sales team, part of our Real Estate group.

You will work as part of a team to provide secretarial and administrative support to help legal teams deliver great service to clients.

Your key duties will be:

  • providing an effective organisational and administrative support service to a busy team of fee earners who specialise in acting for large PLC developer clients
  • assisting with the processing of land registry forms and other legal documentation
  • the issue of contract packs to solicitors
  • attending to clients and other solicitors on the telephone, taking messages and assisting generally with the conveyancing process
  • the production of accurate documents and overseeing the case management system (training will be provided)
  • assisting with monthly billing and other related financial administration
  • opening and closing of electronic files
  • using a case management system to process and progress cases
  • taking telephone calls and messages, handling queries and enquiries
  • archiving, storage and retrieval of documentation (electronic and paper versions)
  • typing of documents and correspondence
  • processing incoming and outgoing post and arranging couriers
  • general administrative tasks including; photocopying, filing, printing and archiving

Skills and experience you will have:

  • conveyancing experience gained within a Real Estate team
  • legal secretarial experience is desired
  • a minimum grade C pass at GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics
  • confidence with IT systems to include Microsoft Word, Excel and ideally PowerPoint
  • fast and accurate keyboard skills
